Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP)

The Volunteer Incentive Program (VIP) is an extensive six-day educational opportunity designed specifically for the volunteer fire service officer.  With VIP, the academy has compressed two weeks of course work into six days, tailored it to the special needs of the volunteer fire officer, and still has maintained content, quality, and integrity.
Students have the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas and information with colleagues from across the country.
The VIP curriculum has been expanded to seven courses:

• Fire Command Operations (R801)
• Fire Service Planning Concepts for the 21st Century (R802)
• Leadership and Administration (R810)
• Fire Cause Determination for Company Officers (R811)
• Hazardous Materials Incident Management (R814)
• Challenges for Local Training Officers (R815)
• Community Education Leadership (R816)
